Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation is a popular option for anyone who wants to add or restore volume to the breasts. Whether you wish to change your natural size or have lost volume from pregnancy or weight loss, Dr. Cohen and her team will help you choose the best enhancement option for you.

During your consultation, Dr. Cohen will work with you to understand your goals for the procedure and then give you different implant options to determine which will create your desired look and feel. Dr. Cohen uses a range of silicone and saline implants. The procedure to insert the implants involves making an incision under the breasts, where the implant will be placed in a pocket either above or below the chest muscle. Once the implant is in place, the incision will be closed with sutures and surgical tape. This process is completed while the patient is under general anesthesia.

Following the procedure, Dr. Cohen and her staff will monitor your recovery to ensure you have the best possible outcome. It is recommended that patients who receive breast implants rest for a couple of days and then gradually resume normal activities while refraining from any strenuous activity for approximately six weeks. Patients should wear a supportive bra to help reduce swelling and provide support while the incisions heal. Patients generally sleep on their back for comfort while healing.
