Arm Lift

Many people experience loose skin in the upper arm as a result of aging or weight loss. Arm lifts tighten and smooth the supportive tissue, reducing fat and excess skin from the underarm to the elbow. These procedures reshape and define the arm, restoring a more youthful profile.

Before the procedure, patients are given general anesthesia. An incision is made along the inside or back of the arm or in the underarm, depending on the size of the treatment area. Dr. Cohen then removes excess skin and tightens underlying tissue. Liposuction may be used to remove any excess fat.

Each patient is different, but the initial recovery time is approximately one week. It is recommended that patients do not do any heavy lifting or exercise for six weeks following the surgery to allow for proper healing. A compression garment is also recommended to relieve discomfort and maximize results.
