Breast Lift

The appearance of your breasts changes over time as you age, but it can also be affected by weight loss or pregnancy. Breast lifts restore firmness and a youthful position to the chest while maintaining the natural size of your breasts. If you are interested in also changing the size, breast lifts can be done in coordination with a breast augmentation or breast reduction.

The breast lift procedure is performed under general anesthesia. Several incisions are made around the breasts to allow for excess skin removal and breast tissue reshaping. Dr. Cohen repositions the breasts to achieve a lifted but natural look, and once that is done, the incisions are closed with sutures.

After the surgery, it is recommended that patients rest for at least one week and only resume more strenuous activity after six weeks of recovery. During this time, patients may experience minor swelling, but compression garments may be worn to reduce discomfort.

Dr. Cohen is committed to ensuring her patients are informed and comfortable with their decision. Below, you will find a link to our frequently asked questions. If you would like to discuss this procedure further, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
